San Pedro Claver (cont.)

I first wrote about San Pedro Claver back in August. Well, when Emily and Rob were visiting us, we took the tour of the church and monastery that were named after him.

Courtyard between the church and monastery. The bells were a gift from Spain.

At the beginning of the tour, the guide (who did the tour in English) told us that we would be able to see the skeleton of San Pedro Claver. I thought that he actually meant that the remains would be inside a marble coffin or something and that he didn't know how to explain it in English. Imagine our surprise when we got up to the altar and actually could see the skeleton through the glass!
