Last week, U.S. Ambassador to Colombia Michael McKinley was in Cartagena for a conference. Scott and I, along with several other families here, were invited to spend some time getting to know him. For about an hour and a half, he answered questions and talked to us about living in Colombia. We were so glad to have the opportunity to meet him!
Ambassador McKinley has been in the foreign service since 1982. He has been the U.S. Ambassador to Colombia since 2010, and previously served as the U.S. Ambassador to Peru. He has had assignments across the world, including Mozambique, Uganda, and Belgium.
