Fall 2012 Trip: Part 1

After a bit of a hiatus, I'm back to entertain you with tales from our travels this fall!

At the end of October we attended another wedding, this one for our friend Travis. We know Travis from our time living in Washington DC - his Super Bowl party in 2007 is where Scott and I met! The wedding was in Hilton Head, but we flew into Orlando, rented a car, and drove up to South Carolina. On our way there we stopped in Savannah, Georgia.

Once in Hilton Head, it was great spending time catching up with a group of our friends from DC. We ate well and laughed a lot. At the rehearsal dinner, which overlooked the water, we were served a traditional lowcountry boil: shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes. Then at the wedding we had pulled pork sandwiches, shrimp and grits, and macaroni and cheese. Yum! The wedding was beautiful and we are so glad that we were able to make the trip.
