We spent the second week of our trip up in Seattle visiting our friends Kristen, Can, and Jennifer (I went to college with Kristen and Can). Food is a high priority for us on every vacation, and Kristen never disappoints with her restaurant recommendations. This time some of our favorite spots were
Portage Bay Cafe and
Brave Horse Tavern. Can also cooked Turkish food for us one night, which we always enjoy (Can is originally from Istanbul).
We also kept busy doing some new activities. Kristen gave us a tour around the brand new
Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation office complex, where she works. We tasted a variety of beers on a
Redhook Brewery tour, took a boat trip around Lake Washington, and watched the Mariners beat the Red Sox. Fun all around!
